DEEP ELLUM. This artist-run gallery showcases temporary exhibits by new and upcoming talents. Housed in a former warehouse, the gallery sponsors an annual exhibition of local and regional artists whose works, in a variety of media, range from the conservative to the outrageous.

UPTOWN. Housed in a unique black and white building, this gallery has a great collection of Texas Regionalist paintings that were especially popular in the mid-1980s. Most are oils and watercolors and there are a few sculptures. The collection also includes late 19th and early 20th century works by American and European artists.

UPTOWN. More than 400 paintings from 240-plus artists help ensure that this gallery offers one of the finest collections of European oil paintings in the US. Prices range from $5000 to over $1,000,000. Collectors who focus on skill, technique, and quality in 19th- and 20th-century traditional European oils appreciate the affordability, too. From landscapes to marine scenes, from genre paintings to portraits, European Art Gallery provides lots of subject matter and interest.

UPTOWN. Say cheese! Although you won't get your picture taken here, you will see plenty of photographs. The gallery displays 20th-century photography in temporary exhibits, and all works are for sale. In addition, the gallery has a specialized photo search program for hard-to-find items. Displays feature the artistry of people like Jack Delano, Walter Rosenblum, and Shelby Lee Adams.
