GALLERIA. A/X Armani Exchange is the less expensive line from Giorgio Armani. The store carries casual wear, including jeans, shirts, shorts, T-shirts and belts. The clothes are more laid-back, and work for both younger and older men. Prices range from $20 for a T-shirt to $200 for a jacket.

UPTOWN. A Dallas legend among secondhand stores, Ahab Bowen is located in a green house with multi-colored boas on the front porch. It has an excellent variety of vintage shirts, sunglasses, hats, cigarette cases, disco pants, designer jeans from the 80s and dresses straight out of the 40s. If you want a mechanic's shirt or bowling ensemble, this is a cool destination located near several antique stores on McKinney Avenue. Great prices and stylish employees who will help you find your look.

GALLERIA. Brooks Brothers carries both casual and business attire, but they are better known for the latter. An on-site tailor will assist in making you properly dapper in their traditional two-button styled suits or three-button with a higher rise; both nested and separates. The store also carries a great selection of dress shirts, ties and socks.

NORTHEAST DALLAS. This once stodgy maker of indestructible raincoats now offers a small collection of classic men's wear. The timeless designs, many featuring the tan-black-red-white Burberry plaid, include shirts, pants, sweaters, scarves and, of course, rain jackets.

HIGHLAND PARK. This was the first freestanding boutique opened by the American master of minimalism. In the late 1980s, the venture seemed like risky business, given that this is a city known to love, color and flourishes. But the boutique is still going strong, offering the designer's higher-end day, evening and sports wear as well as shoes, handbags and other accessories. Located in elegant Highland Park Village, the Calvin Klein boutique carries the label's couture collection as well as CK, their less expensive line.
